Gateway Christian School

Gateway Christian School provides students with a unique K-12 learning opportunity within the Red Deer public school system. As a school of faith, they invite students to find their place in God’s story and interweave this invitation into every academic subject and experience.

Dating back to 1968, the Christian school’s history runs deep within the local community. In 1999, the school was adopted by the Red Deer Public School Division to provide an alternative educational program within the division. The name was changed and their messaging was adapted, but Gateway had struggled to build an identity that accurately reflects the purpose and position behind their brand and why they do what they do.

Gaps in public perception widened, leaving parents confused about their options and unsure about why or if they should consider Gateway Christian School for their family.

We needed to show the local community what makes Gateway Christian School the right choice for faith-infused learning and clarify their position on the importance of education for their kids.

Without changing their name, we focused on a refreshed identity and clear messaging to invoke clarity and emotion, and to help position them as leaders in Christian education.

In addition to the new logo and branding, we updated the logo for the Gateway Thunder sports teams. With new branded uniforms, the students feel proud to represent their school and to be part of God’s story at Gateway.
