Rebel Vac Systems
A rebrand and website overhaul for a Central Alberta oilfield manufacturing company.
Rebel Vac Systems is a family-owned business that has been designing and manufacturing custom vacuum trucks for over 40 years. With clients across North America, Rebel Vac Systems was looking for a new logo and website; something bold and rugged that would appeal to their customers and capture their company’s values.
Inspired by historic automotive branding, we designed a brazen logo to embody the tough, reliable products they manufacture. Next, we delivered a mobile friendly website that would reflect their brand identity, and propel their professional image online.
What We Delivered
- Mobile friendly web design
- Brand, logo, & identity design
- Website development
- Content writing
- Print design
- WordPress development
Originally, Rebel Vac Systems went by the name of Rebel Metal Fabricators. We suggested replacing ‘Metal Fabricators’ with ‘Vac Systems’ to assure they were being perceived accurately within the oil and gas industry. With this change, we would need to be certain not to lose the feeling of customization that Rebel Vac Systems was so well known for.
Through research, we defined the resounding theme of their brand: high quality manufacturers of rugged units for ruthless climates. We designed an awesome custom typeface for the logo, incorporating a optional brushed steel image treatment, and an established a menacing attitude through a dark colour palette of blacks and reds.
We did away with a dated, non-mobile friendly site. Our strategy was to hone in on the customizable features of their units and the quality of their workmanship, and to do all this in an easy-to-navigate layout. We built a custom WordPress site using the same colour palette combined with striking imagery and assertive language to hone in on the rugged craftsmanship they are so well-known for.
While working with Rebel Vac Systems, we learned that that had a small inventory of ready-made units for sale from time to time, so we built an easy-to-update section of the website that allows employees to add and remove units as they become available for sale.
